The interior layout was adapted from what was previously closed rooms for research and development use into an open, dynamic environment. The project scope also included building upgrades such as mechanical system replacements and the addition of skylights to increase day-lighting. In alignment with its holistic approach to design and the end users’ well-being, the client is pursuing LEED-CI Gold certification for this project, as well as requiring that all materials in the selected finishes and furniture comply with the Living Building Challenge’s Red List restricting products with known harmful chemicals......
