Headquarters Interior Design | The Slack Headquarters | Vancouver | Canada | Leckie Studio Architecture + Design

Award-winning communications-based software company Slack located its multi-level headquarters in Yaletown, at 1028 Hamilton Street. The Slack Headquarters re-imagines the industrial space into a 3-level interconnected floor space with modern detail and everyday, utilitarian materials. The new offices retain the heritage character of the building by integrating the exposed brick, original wooden beams, and exposed mechanical infrastructure into the design. The custom steel demising walls are coated with a matte gunmetal lacquer. The industrial character of the office was designed as a strategic and contextual response to both the heritage of the Yaletown warehouse building, and the social nature of the communications and projects of Slack.........more

Office Interior Design | Garage Headquarters | Gorky Park | Moscow | Russia | FORM

In 2012 Garage Centre for Contemporary Culture relocated to Gorky Park. Its headquarters were based in a historic building, partly used by the park administration.
Prior to the renovation, the space was segmented into tiny cluttered office rooms, remnants of the 90s.After a close study of its history, the structure of the original building was revealed and adapted to the needs of Garage headquarters. Tall windows that had been bricked up were opened, the space was cleaned of the 90’s clutter, the attic space was put into use. The building is a historical artifact, with a kind of space-time tetris visible in its walls.

Throughout its multiple lives it has served as a boat repair yard for the Bromley factory,
then developed into an exhibition pavilion by the avant garde architect Shchusev in 1923, later it became a movie theatre, and a hall for exhibiting trophy weapons during WWII.
The new internal structure was dictated by the brief. Garage headquarters consists of several departments, each requiring a dedicated space, with the ability to interact. The space can be observed in its entirety from various points, with the head office slightly separated and overlooking the rest, to be accessed by a narrow winding staircase. T

The lower level contains the entry foyer, PR and research department, where panoramic windows reveal the ruins of a movie theatre destroyed during WWII. This space is at tree top level and opens up to the park.

A parade staircase leads to the second floor, where open working areas are organized around a closed core of the conference room, small kitchen and printing room. At tree top level, this space opens up to the park.

The topmost mezzanine is additionally lit by a long window which reveals the ruined theatre and the city skyline.......more

Corporate Office Interior Design | Airport Regional Head Office | "Lighthouse", Moscow, Russia | VOX Architects

For a company that provides administrative management for terminals of several regional airports, the architects have chosen the space in a modern office building in the center of Moscow. Architects decided to form moderate, and in the same time expressive, interiors. The customer fully relied on the professional competence of the team granted the freedom to create. The only constraints were conditioned by the working style of this particular office – the office is not meant to be often attended by visitors, and by the company’s activities: complex financial and technical development of airport facilities. As most employees are concentrating on individual work, the office has practically no open space, but a number of comfortable individual cabinets and meeting rooms. The interiors clearly translate an image of a metallic airplane wing, hovering in the greyish-blue sky.

As the office is situated in a reconstructed printing-house, in the very center of it there are still left bracing V-shaped beams. One of those is transformed into a white abstract form, and the other, in a symbolic fin of an airplane.

The colors of the interiors are cold, but due to multi-level lightning it really feels cozy inside. These comforting feelings are enhanced by ash wood used in the decoration of floors and cabinets, wooden wall panels. ........more
